A message from Linda Watson, President of EFFORTS :
Joan Esposito has given us another wonderful winter newsletter to get the New Year off to a good start!

Here’s another note from our musical friend, Ann Lornie
Please check out JJ’s Newsletter. She snuck in a great article about Upper Arm Exercises Improving Vigor in COPD Patients. I don’t want to upset anyone of a sensitive nature, but you do have to do the exercises, ok? You can’t just read about it and expect any benefit.

The result will be that we can all manage to do those things we have to do without pulling the desperately-upset-grimace of unmanaged COPD. Strong muscles ensure that hanging something up in the closet doesn’t require us to sit down straight afterwards, doing an impeccable impersonation of a guppy.
Love - Ann in England - Vice President, EFFORTS
