Washington, D.C., June 11, 2013 – The COPD Foundation today launched its new interactive website, designed to engage individuals by providing the most up-to-date information on COPD, to display its numerous programs and services for the COPD community and to offer multiple ways for individuals to learn about volunteering and advocacy activities. The site’s clean and simple design contains advanced search features and more robust tools built to educate the community about COPD, such as a brand new video gallery, educational materials and COPD Foundation publications.
“Our new website will help us to advance our mission of informing, educating, and helping the millions of people living with COPD in the U.S.—and worldwide. We’ve made it easy for people to log onto our website, find the information they’re looking for, and give them the tools they need to become not only educated, but to become their own advocate, and voice, in the fight against COPD,” said Craig Kephart, Executive Director at the COPD Foundation. “When creating our new website, we made sure to include elements that would serve as a valuable resource for all members of our audience—from individuals living with COPD and their friends and families to caregivers and healthcare professionals.”
Designed and developed by IMI Software Inc. and R2integrated, the site showcases the Foundation’s new graphic identity and logo. With easy navigability, search features and intuitive design, the new website will more readily allow users to quickly find the answers to any questions they have about COPD and refer them to useful resources.
“I’m really excited about the social sharing that you will find on every page of our new website. This makes it so easy for everyone in the community to share the valuable information they find on our website—to keep spreading education and awareness about our mission,” said Kephart. “We’ve also made it easier for people to sign up to receive our e-newsletters, and get involved in multiple ways through fundraising, education, advocacy or research. We hope that this website responds to the needs of the COPD community and our continual quest to bring value to patients and their families.”
